The British Boxing Commission stripped him of his license after this travesty but eventually restored it. He also sent vile insults to boxing legend Barry McGuigan about his deceased daughter.

However, Saunders continues to receive opportunities and made a massive payday against Canelo Alvarez. He also maintains a dedicated fanbase who don’t care about the vile things that he says. Britain doesn’t want him to represent them in mainstream life but his success in the ring keeps him in public (via Sky Sports).
