The Jerry Jones regime helped the commercial side of the team but the lack of postseason success is noticeable. Jones openly said that high ratings were more important to him than Super Bowl rings.

That’s a terrible attitude because it’s completely out of odds with the dreams of fans. They follow their team because it gives them a sense of community pride and escapism. However, Jones is all about milking Dallas for as much money as possible (via NBC Sports).
