Tom Brady receives most of the headlines in Tampa, but make no mistake, Evans is one of the Bucs’ most important players. The wide receiver is a perennial record-breaker and, also, a key cog in Bruce Arians’ offense. They recognized his elite potential when they made him one of the highest-paid wideouts in the NFL in 2018. This came after he put in a breakout year.

A three-time Pro Bowler, the Texas A&M product takes home a guaranteed $16.8 million. Of course, the reality is that he makes much more money than this. Most of the league’s receivers can only look on in envy at Evans because the majority of them earn much lower salaries. But that’s the problem receivers and especially running backs have to deal with.
